Report: Teams preparing to do NFL Draft virtually from home

We continue to get an idea of just how different the NFL Draft will look in 2020 amid the backdrop of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, teams are essentially preparing to conduct their draft at home without access to the team facilities that they usually rely on with the expectation that the NFL will not allow them to be opened up in time for the process.

High-level officials from multiple NFL teams are now preparing to do the April 23-25 draft virtually, from home, away from their team facilities, league sources tell ESPN. Awaiting final decision from NFL on an unprecedented draft.

It’s going to be a very strange draft no matter what. This is probably one of the reasons that there is said to be real anger at going through with the draft right now, but the NFL is determined to push through and make it happen.

Teams are deep in planning for how this is going to work, but there is an acceptance that they’re going to have to make the best of it. We’ll see how it goes.
