Terrelle Pryor attacker Shalaya Briston charged with attempted homicide in stabbing incident

Terrelle Pryor

The woman who allegedly stabbed free agent wide receiver Terrelle Pryor has been charged with attempted homicide.

Shalaya Briston was charged with attempted homicide and aggravated assault in the altercation that led to Pryor being stabbed Friday night in Pittsburgh. Pryor was also charged with simple assault, with police characterizing the two as “mutual combatants.”

Further details suggested that Pryor and Briston had a tumultuous relationship, and a witness was overheard at the hospital saying “we should have just let him die.”

Pryor, a former Ohio State Buckeye quarterback and 1,000-yard NFL receiver, remains hospitalized after being stabbed in the shoulder and chest. He is in stable condition after undergoing surgery.
