The Detroit Lions appear to have a player that very much fits their organizational ethos in rookie cornerback Terrion Arnold.
Arnold, who was the No. 24 overall pick by the Lions out of Alabama, offered a great quote about his competitive nature as he started rookie minicamp on Friday. He is so competitive that he says he is going to get physical and compete with any wide receiver he lines up against, even if that wide receiver is his mother.
“If my mom was a receiver, I’d jam her in the dirt,” Arnold said, via Mlive reporter Kyle Meinke.

Make no mistake, Arnold has made it very clear that he absolutely adores his mother. If anything, that makes the quote even better. It also makes him a great fit for Detroit’s kneecap-biting ethos.
The Lions had a lot of success last year with another Alabama rookie defensive back in Brian Branch. If Arnold can perform similarly, the organization is going to be thrilled.
