Texans CB Kevin Johnson out ‘a while’ with concussion
A second concussion in a matter of months is a serious blow to Houston Texans cornerback Kevin Johnson.
According to Texans coach Bill O’Brien, Johnson will be out “a while” after sustaining the injury during the season opener against the New England Patriots.
Kevin Johnson will miss a significant amount of time with concussion, per Bill O'Brien. 'It's concerning. He will be out for a while.'

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported it could be a six-week injury.
How concerning is the concussion for #Texans CB Kevin Johnson? Sources say Johnson is expected to be out at least 4 weeks, potentially 6 weeks. That makes him a candidate for Injured Reserve with the potential to return.

Why is this one so concerning? Johnson was only cleared by the league’s concussion protocol last week after suffering one during the preseason. It’s fair to wonder if he was fully healthy and safe when cleared to play against the Patriots.
