Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing did not mince words when talking after his team’s blowout loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas.
The Texans were ripped by the Steelers 34-6 on Monday. They fell behind early, failed to convert from the goal line, and after that, it was all downhill save for a spectacular catch by DeAndre Hopkins.
After the game, Cushing said the team’s performance was “beyond embarrassing.”
Brian Cushing: "Obviously, nowhere near good enough. It's just frustrating, embarrassing. Just not getting it done. We're not getting off the field. We're not getting turnovers." (To have this happen at home?) It's tough. It's horrible, a terrible feeling..beyond embarrassing"

It’s hard to disagree with Cushing. Houston managed just 227 yards, 13 total first downs, committed two turnovers, and their quarterbacks were sacked seven times. It was an awful performance, but how much can you really expect from a team down to their third and fourth-string QBS?
