Texas fans were understandably not happy with the performance of their team on Saturday. In response, they began throwing objects on the field late in the game.
The Longhorns came into the season opener against Maryland ranked No. 23. However, their time in the Top 25 will be short lived because Texas was on the wrong end of a 51-41 final score.
During the fourth quarter, fans threw cardboard fans onto the field. Take a look at a couple of videos below.

This was Texas’ first game under new head coach Tom Herman, who came to Austin after two successful seasons at Houston. Expectations were high heading into the season for the Longhorns football program as the team was ranked in the preseason AP Poll for the first time since 2013. Saturday was Texas’ fourth loss in a row dating back to last season.
