This is shaping up to be a rough week for Tim Tebow. As if it wasn’t bad enough that the New York Jets have decided to bench Mark Sanchez this weekend and start Greg McElroy instead of the Teebs, his love life has also reportedly taken a hit. According to US Weekly, Tebow and actress Camilla Belle have broken up after two months of dating.
“It just didn’t work out,” a source close to Tebow reportedly told the magazine.
Last we heard, Tebow had introduced Belle to his parents and his mother supposedly adored her. Either Tebow didn’t like Camilla as much as his mom did, Camilla wasn’t feeling it, something else happened, or all of these gossip rumors have been bogus. Maybe they’re still together. Maybe they never were together. Until we hear it from one of them, we won’t really know for sure.
It would stand to reason that Tebow doesn’t need any additional distractions if he is potentially going to be seeking his release from this Jets in a few weeks. The third-year quarterback can now focus on whether or not he’ll be playing in the NFL or the CFL next year, while the rest of us concern ourselves with the latest crazy dating rumors about him.
