Tim Tebow reportedly in good shape to earn roster spot
It may be Tebow Time in Philadelphia after all.
ESPN’s Dianna Marie Russini reports that Eagles head coach Chip Kelly is “excited” by Tebow. She also indicates that the quarterback is in good shape to earn a spot on the team.
Source says Chip Kelly is increasingly excited by Tim Tebow. If Tebow doesn't make major errors, he will earn spot on team. #eagles

Kelly impressed by Tebow's running. Throwing not perfect, but better making him valuable with 2-point rule & in short-yd situations #eagles

Philly has Sam Bradford, Mark Sanchez, and Matt Barkley at quarterback in addition to Tebow. Bradford and Sanchez will probably be first and second string, while Tebow could earn the third string spot over Barkley, whom Kelly had been looking to trade.
As we said months ago, Tebow is valuable in short-yardage situations and could be utilized as a 2-point conversion specialist now that extra points have been moved back. He actually is a valuable player to have on your roster for those situations. And it looks like Sanchez is getting proven completely wrong.
