Tim Tebow has not given up on his dream of continuing his NFL career, and the Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly willing to give him a look.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Tebow worked out for the Eagles on Monday. Tebow has supposedly been working on his throwing mechanics and was scheduled to work out at the NFL Veteran Scouting Combine next weekend, but apparently the Eagles wanted an early showing.
The Eagles have already traded for St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford and re-signed Mark Sanchez, so they would only have room for Tebow if they chose to carry three quarterbacks. While it seems highly unlikely at this point that the former Florida star will make an NFL roster, the fact that he is still able to get tryouts is a good sign.
A few months after he was cut by the New England Patriots, Tebow was back in Los Angeles working on his passing skills. You can see a video of one of his sessions here.
As bad of a reputation as Tebow has as an NFL quarterback, he has still won a playoff game and played well for the Denver Broncos a few seasons ago. He has to be better than guys like Ryan Lindley, who looked lost when the Arizona Cardinals needed him in the playoffs a couple months ago.
