Todd Bowles has funny quote about Jets’ gameplan for Khalil Mack
New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles realizes that he will need to give some extra attention to Khalil Mack on Sunday.
Addressing the media Wednesday before the Jets’ Week 2 showdown against the Oakland Raiders, Bowles discussed the team’s gameplan for the Raiders All-Pro defensive end. Noting how the Tennessee Titans used three players to block Mack to little success in a Week 1 loss to Oakland, Bowles revealed that the Jets would be upping the ante, per Scott Bair of NBC Sports Bay Area.
At one point Titans used 3 guys blocking Khalil Mack. Didn't work that well. NY Jets head coach Todd Bowles: "Maybe we'll try 5 or 6."

For Mack, who recorded 11.0 sacks (tied for eighth in the NFL) and five forced fumbles (tied for third) last season en route to an AP Defensive Player of the Year Award, throwing quite literally half of the team at him might not be all that unwarranted. Either way, it’s clear that everybody from his teammates to opposing coaches have nothing but the utmost of respect for The Mack Attack.
