Todd Haley reportedly set to be named Browns offensive coordinator
The Cleveland Browns are reportedly zeroing in on their new offensive coordinator.
Former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley is reportedly close to agreeing to a contract to take up the same position with Cleveland, according to Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com.
Cabot notes that coach Hue Jackson will likely hand playcalling responsibilities over to the experienced Haley, who is highly regarded as an offensive coordinator and has extensive AFC North experience from his tenure with Pittsburgh.
Haley was more or less pushed out of Pittsburgh due to friction with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. The Browns will hope that the Steelers’ loss is their game — and perhaps that Haley will be extra motivated to succeed after how things ended with his previous employer.
