Patriots quarterback Tom Brady became just the fourth quarterback in NFL history to reach 400 passing touchdowns on Sunday with a one yard completion to Danny Amendola.

Amendola, perhaps not realizing the milestone or perhaps not caring, promptly turned and handed the football off to a fan in the front row behind the end zone.

Maybe Amendola just wasn’t thinking. Either way, the Boston Globe’s Michael Whitmer reports that a Gillette Stadium staffer retrieved the milestone football afterwards, so no harm, no foul.
Brady, meanwhile, has already thrown touchdown number 401 as the Patriots beat up on the Jacksonville Jaguars.
