Tom Brady believes Darrelle Revis is playing hurt
Age is definitely a factor in Darrelle Revis’s fall from the elite, but Tom Brady thinks injuries are another factor.
The Patriots quarterback suggested Monday that his former teammate is playing hurt.
“I know he’s not feeling great,” Brady told WEEI’s “Kirk & Callahan Show,” via Rich Cimini of ESPN. “I could see him out there. He winced out there a few times, kind of getting up. It looked like his leg was bothering him a little bit.
“He’s been one of the great players in the league for a long time. He’s given up more plays this year than in the past, but you have to have a lot of respect for his style and his game.”
Brady respects Revis, but he also knows a weakness when he sees one, and it left even Revis surprised. Age catches up with everyone, though, and Revis is no different. Perhaps aches and pains are a part of that.
