Tom Brady has not given any thought to Colin Kaepernick, national anthem protests
Tom Brady feels that he has bigger fish to fry than the widespread national anthem protests around the NFL.
In an appearance Monday morning on WEEI’s “Kirk and Callahan,” the New England Patriots quarterback was asked if he had given any thought to Colin Kaepernick’s situation.
“Not much,” Brady replied. “Not much. Not this time of year. My attention goes in a lot of places, so not much … I don’t know Colin very well at all. I’ve never really had a conversation with him.
“I don’t really pay attention to that,” the five-time Super Bowl champion continued when asked about the fact that no Patriots players have protested during the anthem. “Probably a lot of things for me to think about at that time. I haven’t thought about that much.”
At least one other notable QB has come out in public support of Kaepernick. But Brady has never quite been known for his activism, so it’s hard to be surprised that he’s once again choosing to stick to sports here.
