Tom Savage was replaced at quarterback during Sunday’s Houston Texans game against the San Francisco 49ers after appearing to spasm following a hit in the end zone.
Savage took a hit near the end zone on a third down play in the second quarter and could be seen shaking somewhat after the hit. Savage went into the medical tent to be examined but came back out.
Savage actually remained in the game and played the next series for Houston, which was a 3-and-out. After that, they finally replaced him with backup quarterback T.J. Yates.

The Houston QB apparently wanted to come back into the game but the team fought to keep him out and had Yates replace him.
