Trent Williams suspended four games for violating substance abuse policy
The Redskins will be without Trent Williams for the foreseeable future after he drew a suspension from the NFL.
Williams was suspended for four games in 2011 for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. It’s a violation of the same policy that will result in another four-game absence, according to Adam Schefter.

Since being selected No. 4 overall in the 2010 draft, Williams has become one of the best offensive tackles in the NFL. He’s been named to the Pro Bowl in each of the past four seasons and last summer signed a five-year extension that made him the highest paid tackle in NFL history.
It is expected that veteran Ty Nsekhe will fill-in for Williams during his absence.
