TY Hilton could miss up to a month with calf injury

TY Hilton

The Indianapolis Colts are looking to maintain their lead in the AFC South coming off a hard-fought win over the Denver Broncos, but they expect to be without arguably their best skill position player for the next several games.

TY Hilton has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers because of a calf injury, and head coach Frank Reich told reporters on Friday that the star wide receiver could miss three or four weeks.

While his yardage totals have been down with Jacoby Brissett under center, Hilton has made some outstanding catches this season and is on pace for a career-high in touchdown receptions. He already has five through seven games (one of which he didn’t play in), and his previous high for a season was seven.

This is not the first injury Hilton has battled this season, but it sounds more serious than the one that forced him to miss a game earlier in the year. The Colts may have to lean on Marlon Mack and their running game even more as long as Hilton is sidelined.
