Tyler Eifert is seeing another season shortened due to an injury, though he’s trying to maintain a positive attitude despite the disappointment.
Eifert suffered a broken ankle on Sunday and is out for the season, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The Cincinnati Bengals tight end posted a note on Twitter saying it’s not a time for self pity and negativity. Instead, he will “move forward with optimism.”

Eifert has shown great ability when he’s been on the field, catching 21 touchdowns in 43 games. However, he’s missed just about as many games as he’s played due to elbow and back injuries. Now it’s an ankle injury knocking him out for the year.
Eifert had 15 catches for 179 yards and a touchdown this season.
