Vernon Davis traded to Broncos
The Denver Broncos on Monday acquired Vernon Davis from the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for multiple late-round draft picks.
Broncos executive vice president of football operations John Elway made the announcement on Twitter:
We've agreed to trade for two-time Pro Bowl TE Vernon Davis from SF. He'll be a valuable addition to our team w/his experience & leadership.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Broncos are sending a 2016 sixth-round pick and 2017 sixth-round pick to San Francisco, with the Niners sending back Davis and a 2016 seventh-rounder.
Davis enjoyed a breakout year with 13 touchdown catches in 2013, but he has been virtually ineffective since. He has just 18 catches for 194 yards and no touchdowns this season, and there have been rumblings that he had grown tired of playing alongside Colin Kaepernick. Davis should feel revitalized catching passes from Peyton Manning.
