Emeka Egbuka just gave Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans another reason to get hyped for his 2026 NFL season.
The former Ohio State Buckeyes star wide receiver is coming off an impressive rookie season in the league, and many expect him to get even better in the coming campaign.
He showed a glimpse of what he and his freakish athleticism can contribute to the Buccaneers’ passing attack when he snagged an impossible-looking one-handed catch during Tuesday’s practice. You can watch a video of his catch here, via Fox Sports’ Ralph Vacchiano.
Egbuka is expected to be one of quarterback Baker Mayfield’s top targets, which became even clearer when all-time Tampa Bay great Mike Evans decided to bring his talents to the Bay Area and sign with the San Francisco 49ers in March.
The Buccaneers will spread out the production they normally got from Evans, which likely means more touches and yards for Egbuka.
In his first season as a pro, Egbuka, the 19th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, came up with 938 receiving yards and six touchdowns. There is plenty of room for improvement, especially considering that he recorded only 63 catches on 127 targets last season. But if that video proved anything, it’s that Egbuka can catch anything.
