Video shows Mike McDaniel savagely trolling Maxx Crosby over mistake
Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby is known for being one of the best trash talkers in the NFL, and Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel tried to return fire on Sunday.
Crosby made an uncharacteristic mistake during the second half of the Dolphins’ 34-19 win over the Raiders at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Fla. With time winding down in the third quarter, the Dolphins lined up like they were going to try to get another play off but instead had Tua Tagovailoa use the hard count. Crosby fell for it and jumped offsides.
McDaniel then taunted Crosby from the sideline and told him, “We didn’t have a play called, Max!” The coach finished his heckling with an “lol.”

There wasn’t really much Crosby could say. It should have been fairly obvious to him that the Dolphins were not going to run a play. Miami had 1st-and-10 at the Raiders’ 40-yard line, and Crosby handed them a free 5 yards heading into the fourth quarter. The Dolphins went on to score a touchdown on the drive to take a 24-12 lead.
Crosby’s mistake was hardly the difference in the game, but it was one we are not used to seeing him make. McDaniel had just better hope the three-time Pro Bowler doesn’t exact revenge in the future.
