Hours before the Minnesota Vikings hosted the Seattle Seahawks in one of the coldest games in NFL history, the harsh weather conditions were already taking their toll on preparation for the Wild Card matchup.
With temperatures hovering around -10 in Minneapolis Sunday morning, the Vikings’ Gjallarhorn shattered due to the cold.

It was quickly replaced, hopefully with a Gjallarhorn that can take more abuse.
Next Gjallarhorn up.

That wasn’t the only issue. Camera crews also found themselves having to heat up battery packs just to keep them functional.
So, yeah, it was cold. We feel bad for anyone who has to stand out on the field during in-game ceremonies, because they are going to end up looking like this legendary coach when he gave a halftime speech a couple years back. Hopefully the numbness sets in quickly.
