Wade Phillips had nosebleed seats at Cowboys-Redskins game

How do the Dallas Cowboys treat their former coaches when they come to town? Well, I guess that depends on which former coach we are talking about. If it’s Wade Phillips, it appears the answer is “not exactly like a rockstar.”

Phillips, who was the head coach in Dallas from 2007 through 2010, attended Monday night’s game between the Cowboys and Washington Redskins. As you can see from the photo above that Phillips posted on Twitter, he sat wayyyy up at about eye level with Jerry Jones’ ridiculously massive videoboard.

A Deadspin reader also took a selfie with Wade, noting that the photo was taken in row 10 of section 440.

Phillips was fired halfway through the 2010 season when the Cowboys had a 1-7 record. Prior to that season, he went 33-15 with the team and lost a couple of first-round playoff games.

Where do guys like Chan Gailey and Dave Campo have to sit when they come back around? If Phillips has to sit in section 440, Gailey and Campo probably wouldn’t even be allowed in the door.
