Trevor Ariza will be a Washington Wizard after all.
After a three-team deal to send Ariza to the Wizards fell apart late Friday into Saturday, the Wizards and Phoenix Suns reconvened and completed the trade as a more traditional two-team deal, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The Wizards will get Ariza, while Kelly Oubre and Austin Rivers will head to the Phoenix Suns.

Rivers was headed to Phoenix in yesterday’s deal as well. The main difference, beyond the obvious exclusion of the Memphis Grizzlies as a third team, is Kelly Oubre going to the Suns instead of the Grizzlies. That was how things were slated to go last night before the deal fell apart for hilarious reasons. Obviously, it wasn’t bad enough to prevent two teams from getting together to complete the trade using the same players without the third piece that messed everything up.
