Tony Finau suffered nasty ankle injury celebrating hole-in-one at Masters Par-3
Tony Finau is one of the dark horse names to watch this year as he competes in his first ever Masters tournament, but the status of his left ankle will be something to watch going forward.
During the Masters Par-3 contest on Wednesday, Finau ignited the crowd by burying a hole-in-one. However, it looked as though he dislocated his ankle while celebrating the feat. Here’s a video:

Somehow, Finau appeared to be fine and kept playing. You would think he will be sore on Thursday morning at the very least, but you never know. Perhaps it looked a lot worse than it felt.
We’ve seen professional athletes suffer ankle injuries while celebrating in the past, but you can’t ask for worse timing than on the eve of the Masters. Here’s hoping Finau is able to play on Thursday without restrictions.
