Ryanne Brubaker has been blessed with some incredibly rare physical traits, and the high school volleyball star is taking full advantage.
Brubaker is a 16-year-old junior at Grundy Center High School in Iowa. She has gained attention on social media in recent weeks for the way she has been dominating the competition, and her height has a little something to do with that.
At 6-foot-8, Brubaker towers over both her teammates and the competition. Brubaker’s Instagram profile states that she is 6-foot-8 and 2/3 inches, which makes her about the same height as Lebron James, for comparison.

Brubaker and Grundy Center improved to 9-0 with their latest win on Thursday night. According to Jenna Lemoncelli of the New York Post, Brubaker has 80 kills in 25 sets this season. The middle blocker came off the bench last year but is now a starter.
It would appear that Brubaker got her height from her parents, who have been spotted at Ryanne’s games wearing shirts that say “tall daughter club.”

Having a massive height advantage is one thing, but Brubaker is obviously an excellent athlete as well. She will likely continue to improve and may even grow more, which should terrify Grundy Center’s opponents.
