High schooler Davion Taylor makes everyone miss in incredible kickoff return for TD (Video)
It’s not often that we post the video highlight of a high schooler on the site, so a play has to be really special to warrant our attention. The 99-yard kickoff return for touchdown Davion Taylor had on Friday certainly fits that criteria.
Taylor is a junior at Maury High School in Norfolk, Virginia, and he put together one of the more impressive kick returns we’ve seen. The youngster eluded nearly the entire kick coverage team, just running behind them or around them at various points. And even though the kick coverage team looked like a bunch of clowns, Lakeland ended up winning 37-21 and is 3-0, so they can’t be too bad. Taylor had two receiving touchdowns in addition to this kick return, and also had two interceptions on defense. He accounted for all of his team’s scoring.
