Caps’ Evgeny Kuznetsov exits Game 2 after high hit from McNabb
Washington Capitals center Evgeny Kuznetsov exited Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals on Wednesday night after taking a high hit from Brayden McNabb in the first period.
Kuznetsov was handling the puck near the boards with about 5:30 left in the first period when McNabb skated over and nailed him with an elbow to the face.

Kuznetsov left the game and headed to the dressing room after the hit. He did not come out for the start of the second period either, which led the Caps to announce that Kuznetsov was questionable to return to the game with an upper body injury.

Kuznetsov has been a huge part of Washington’s postseason success. He has 25 points in 20 playoff games this year.
