Sidney Crosby has been held without a point through the first two games of the Eastern Conference Finals, which virtually no one — including the Boston Bruins — saw coming. The Pittsburgh Penguins’ captain has not only failed to score, but he has given away chances and committed costly turnovers.
On Tuesday morning, the pilot of a JetBlue flight that was headed from Pittsburgh to Boston decided to have a little fun at Sid the Kid’s expense. Several media members were on board the flight, including CSNNE.com’s Joe Haggerty:
Baby crying in back of Jet Blue flight packed w/Boston media. Pilot just got on intercom and asked if “Sidney Crosby was in the back crying”

Zing. The Bruins had their way with the Penguins in Games 1 and 2, outscoring Pittsburgh 9-1 and dominating them in every aspect of the game. While the Crosby baby jokes are funny, it’s more crucial now than ever for Claude Julien to keep his team grounded.
The Penguins are very capable of lighting up the scoreboard at any moment. Brad Marchand may have taken Matt Cooke’s manhood on Monday night, but I doubt every game will be that easy. The media will be singing an entirely different tune if Pittsburgh wins Game 3 and Crosby gets back on track. So will the airline pilots.
