Trevor Zegras had a night to savor.
Zegras put on a show in his first meeting with the Anaheim Ducks since getting traded to the Philadelphia Flyers last offseason. He scored not once but twice in the opening period to give the Flyers the lift they needed on their way to a 5-2 victory on Tuesday at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, Pa.
But the real exclamation in Zegras’ revenge-themed night didn’t come until after the game.
When asked by former Flyers star Scott Hartnell how he felt about beating the Ducks, the 24-year-old Zegras didn’t hold back with the profanities.
“F***ing amazing. F***ing amazing,” Zegras responded.
After his first goal of the evening that tied the score at 1-1, he broke out an awesome celly that looked as though he was hanging up the phone.
“I don’t know, but that’s about how quick a phone call was before, so I thought it’d be good,” Zegras explained, referring to the phone call he had with Anaheim when he was traded for Ryan Poehling and a couple of draft picks.

You can tell from the tone and inflection of Zegras’ voice how much he genuinely relished bringing the Ducks to their knees. He clearly enjoyed having such a big individual night as well at his former team’s expense.
With everything Zegras did and said on Tuesday, fans have even more reason to watch the Flyers take on the Ducks on Mar. 18 at his old stomping grounds, the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.
So far in the 2025-26 season, the Bedford, New York native has 17 goals and 24 assists for 41 points through 41 games.
