Tyler Seguin thinks Stars goalie got in Ovechkin’s head
Tyler Seguin thinks that Dallas Stars goalie Anton Khubodin got inside of Alex Ovechkin’s head on Friday night.
The Stars beat the Caps 2-1 in overtime on Seguin’s goal — his second of the game. Ovi attempted six shots on goal for the Washington Capitals but was stonewalled by Khubodin, who stopped all but one shot he faced.
Seguin said after the game that Khubodin got in Ovechkin’s head.
Tyler Seguin on Anton Khudobin: “I think he maybe got in Ovi’s head a little bit because he was making some good saves.”
Khudobin: “I guess he was a little mad at me and shoot right at my jaw.”

Seguin could be right. Most of all, this shows the kind of confidence Seguin and the Stars now have.
Just a week ago, Seguin and Jamie Benn defended themselves from criticism from the team’s CEO. That appears to have lit a fire under him, as he’s recorded points in every game since and has scored four goals over the past two games.
