Craig Sager speech at ESPYS was excellent (Video)

Craig Sager was awarded the Jimmy V Courage Award at the 2016 ESPYS and delivered the kind of moving speech you almost would expect from him.

The veteran sideline reporter talked about how he watches Jimmy V’s speech as he tries to fight leukemia. He talked about the role family and prayer has had in his battles against cancer. He talked about the concept of time, especially for someone with a terminal illness. It was moving.

Sager has had bouts with his leukemia being in remission and reappearing. In March 2016, he was told by doctors he would only have months to live without treatment. Yet here he is, still surviving, thriving and fighting the disease. Most of all, he is inspiring.
