Fans did not wait around to crack jokes at Conor McGregor’s expense.
The former two-division champion had a disastrous return to the octagon on Saturday in the main event of UFC 329. McGregor suffered a serious knee injury just moments after his fight began against Max Holloway at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.
McGregor threw a couple of kicks and instantly fell to the canvas. Once it became clear that Conor could no longer compete, referee Mike Beltran stopped the fight just a minute into the clash. Holloway added insult to injury when he clowned McGregor after the match.
Several fans joined in, joking that Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo ended up throwing more punches than McGregor that weekend in Las Vegas.

Adebayo made headlines on Friday when he punched his former Miami Heat teammate, Tyler Herro, during an AAU event at a gym in Resorts World Casino.
The blow left a mark underneath Herro’s eye. It was, in fact, cleaner than anything McGregor was able to land against Holloway.
McGregor was not in a good headspace hours after his freak injury. He sent out a message following a situation he could “only describe as hell.”
