Daniel Cormier beat Rumble Johnson at UFC 187 on Saturday night and wasted no time calling out his next target.
After choking out Johnson in the third round of their fight, Cormier grabbed the mic from interviewer Joe Rogan and hollered at Jon Jones.
“I’ve got a message for one man: Jon Jones, get your s— together! I’m waiting for you!” Cormier barked.
Even though Cormier wants another shot at Jones, the reality is he didn’t even challenge Bones when they fought at UFC 182 in January. I have no need to see that one-sided show again. But I will give Cormier credit for coming back to beat Rumble and for having incredible self-confidence. He is a darn good fighter, but Jones is still the best.
As for Jones, he has been quiet since being stripped of his belt and suspended indefinitely after fleeing the scene following a car accident in New Mexico. It didn’t help Jones’ case when drugs were also found in his car. Dana White has said he will get an immediate title shot upon returning to the UFC.
