You win some and you lose some in gambling. But this weekend, Drake definitely lost some.

The Grammy-winning rapper revealed Saturday that he bet a huge amount of money on Jorge Masvidal to defeat Colby Covington in the main event of UFC 272. Drake put seven bitcoins (roughly $275,000) on Masvidal to win.

Unfortunately for the “Hotline Bling” artist, Masvidal lost to Covington via unanimous decision after the bout went the distance. To add insult to injury, Covington also dissed Drake in his postfight interview.

“Let’s talk about all the money that Drake lost tonight,” said Covington, per MMAFighting.com. “He needs to go back to selling those s–tty albums to get back the money … Drake, you suck at sports betting. Go back to your s–tty little albums and rapping.”

It wasn’t all bad for Drake though. Masvidal sent him a tweet after the fight saying that he would cover dinner the next time that Drake was in Miami.

By now, Drake is notorious for the “Drake Curse” — many of the athletes and teams that Drake supports suddenly come down with a bad case of losing. It looks like Masvidal was the latest victim. But on the bright side, Drake has at least won big on some of his other sports bets before.
