Jon Jones beat Daniel Cormier by unanimous decision at UFC 182 in Las Vegas on Saturday night and punctuated his win with a crotch chop at his opponent at the close of the final round.
Cormier seemed to let go in the final seconds as if there was an agreement the fight was over, but Jones caught him with a questionable punch. After the fight, Jones dropped the degeneration X suck it on Cormier.
Jones later apologized for being classless and said his dislike of Cormier brought that out in him.
“I’m sorry I’m being classless right now. I don’t like DC and that’s why I’m being this way,” he said.
He also said he did the crotch chop because Cormier hit referee Herb Dean with a late punch at the bell.
“I don’t like Daniel Cormier, I don’t respect Daniel Cormier, I hope he’s somewhere crying right now. I hope he is. I can’t wait til he wins his way back so I can whoop him again,” Jones said in a postfight interview with FOX Sports 1.
