Leslie Smith lost her fight at UFC 180 in Mexico City on Saturday after her ear was ripped open by a Jessica Eye punch.
Smith was bleeding from the ear after being hit by Eye towards the end of the first round. The two began fighting in the second round, but after Smith’s ear was flapping around, referee Herb Dean stopped the fight to have the doctors take a look.
The doctors said the fight should be stopped, giving Eye a second-round TKO victory.
Smith’s camp apparently was not happy about the stoppage:
