Brown is the founder of Larry Brown Sports and has worked in sports media for over 20 years, beginning with his time as a student in the communications department at UCLA. His background includes nine years working in national sports talk radio for networks such as FOX Sports Radio and Sporting News Radio.
Brown served as an update anchor and show host during his radio career, hosting all day parts including mornings, mid-days, evenings, overnights and weekends. He began his on-air career at age 21 and at the time was the youngest person on the air at a national sports radio network.
Brown founded Larry Brown Sports in January 2007 and took the operation full-time in 2010, when additional staff members were hired.
In addition to running and managing Larry Brown Sports, Brown’s resume includes several notable on-air and writing positions.
Brown has provided voiceovers for NFL highlights on NFL.com. He has written for AOL Sports, covering baseball, football and serving as the site’s official NFL handicapper. An avid baseball and boxing fan, he has also contributed to MLB.tv and Max Boxing.
