Jeremy Lin ‘Linsanity’ Knicks, Nike gear now available at NBA store

The NBA’s official Twitter account sent a message during the Knicks-Heat game Thursday announcing that all new Jeremy Lin gear is now for sale at their store. There are plenty of jerseys and t-shirts available, with the shirts ranging from $17-25, and the jerseys around $60. Most of the gear is manufactured by Unk, Adidas, Majestic, or Nike. My favorite item is the Lin State of Mind shirt seen above.

An interesting question is how the Linsanity gear works. The companies mentioned above have the rights to manufacture NBA gear such as all the Jeremy Lin and/or Knicks stuff. Anything that says “Linsanity” on it is a different question. When someone is awarded the trademark for that, companies will have to pay a licensing fee to use the term on merchandise. It seems like they will be license fee free for now, though it’s unclear if they’ll have to pay retroactively.

Here’s a link to all the other products at the store.
