Anytime you ask Lady Gaga’s designer to make you something, things are bound to get weird. For that reason, it’s safe to say American tennis player Bethanie Mattek-Sands knew what she was getting herself into at Thursday night’s Wimbledon player’s party. As you can see to the right, Mattek-Sands showed up in a ridiculous looking “dress” with pieces of tennis balls attached to it.
Gaga’s designer, Alex Noble, came up with the idea for the dress which Mattek-Sands called “the funky dress I wanted.” I’m still having trouble deciding which is dumber: the dress itself with the tennis ball chunks all over it or the mohawkish hat.
Could this be a challenge for Venus Williams? If she wants to dethrone Venus as the queen of fashion weirdness, Mattek-Sands will have to sport something crazy on the court like Williams has with this outfit or this dress. It would also help if she draws attention to herself by making it look like she isn’t wearing any underwear.
