Stan Wawrinka urges disciplinary action against Nick Kyrgios
Nick Kyrgios crossed the line with some trash talk during his Rogers Cup match against Stan Wawrinka on Wednesday, and Wawrinka wants him to face disciplinary action as a result.
Early Thursday morning, Wawrinka took to Twitter to blast Kyrgios and urge the ATP to come down hard on the 20-year-old.
So disappointing to see a fellow athlete and colleague be so disrespectful in a way I could never even imagine.

What was said I wouldn't say to my worst enemy.
To stop so low is not only unacceptable but also beyond belief.

There is no need for this kind of behaviour on or off the court and I hope the governing body of this sport does not stand…

… for this and stands up for the integrity of this sport that we have worked so hard to build.

For those who missed it, courtside microphones caught Kyrgios telling Wawrinka that another tennis player slept with the woman Wawrinka is rumored to be dating. You can see the video of Kyrgios making the remark here.
Kyrgios didn’t exactly apologize after the match.
“He (Wawrinka) was getting a bit lippy with me, kind of in the heat of the moment,” he said. “I don’t know, I just said it.”
You can read the whole story on the young lady caught in the middle here.
The ATP rule book calls for a fine of up to $10,000 for incidents of abuse or verbal misconduct during a match. Kyrgios will likely be fined, though we doubt Wawrinka will feel that is enough punishment.
