Dana White: Brock Lesnar ‘interested in fighting again’

Brock Lesnar

Is Brock Lesnar eyeing a return to the octagon at age 38?

Lesnar is currently under contract with the WWE through the end of March, which is shortly after WrestleMania. When his deal expires, he will have the option of signing a new WWE contract or returning to the UFC.

During a recent press conference in Las Vegas, UFC president Dana White said Lesnar has not ruled out a return to mixed martial arts.

“Brock Lesnar’s under contract with the WWE,” White said, via Damon Martin of FoxSports.com. “We have a great relationship with him. He’s healthy and he has said that he’s interested in fighting again. We’ll see what happens.”

Lesnar hasn’t fought in the UFC since he lost to Alistair Overeem in December 2011. He lost to current UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez prior to that, but Lesnar wasn’t always healthy during his MMA career.

Lesnar was diagnosed with a condition called diverticulitis, which made it difficult for him to train and keep weight on. He is now back to 100 percent health, and his UFC window may be closing. The WWE window stays up until you’re, what, 80?

Back in August, Lesnar’s manager and close friend Paul Heyman said Brock would consider a UFC return.
