George Springer has no timetable to resume swinging
The Houston Astros continue to battle something of an injury crisis.
Outfielder George Springer, currently on the disabled list as he nurses a sprained thumb, current has a brace on his left hand and is not even sure when he’ll be able to pick up a bat and swing again.
With his wrist in a bulky cast-like brace, George Springer said he does not know when he'll be able to pick up a bat.
"I'm happy that I dodged a lot greater injury. I got lucky. Going from there."

All told, Springer’s injury isn’t an exceptionally serious one and won’t keep him out for an extensive period of time. He’s eligible to return from the disabled list on Thursday, but that would be way ahead of schedule and appears exceptionally unlikely.
Springer is hitting .250 with 19 home runs for the world champions this season.
