We’ve reached a point of infatuation with bacon. Bacon bowls, bacon-flavored lip balm, and bacon-scented candles all exist, and that doesn’t even begin to name the variety of items with bacon on or in them.
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs, the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, are joining the foray. The team has unveiled their new uniforms for the 2014 season, and a bacon theme will be prominent for Saturday home games.

Minor league baseball is great for many reasons, things like this are chief among them.
The IronPigs are among the more popular minor league teams in the country, having recently set attendance records. It’s probably a safe bet Coca-Cola Park will be filled to capacity on April 12 when the Rochester Red Wings come to town for their first Saturday home game of the season.
