Madison Bumgarner celebrates win by chugging four beers (Video)
Madison Bumgarner threw a gem for the San Francisco Giants in their 8-0 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates in Wednesday’s NL wild-card playoff game, and he celebrated in style.
Rather, he celebrated like a frat guy.
Bumgarner was seen in the visiting clubhouse holding two beers in each hand and pounding them in celebration. He deserved it, too.
Bumgarner pitched a complete game shutout allowing just four hits and a walk while striking out 10. He joins a short list of phenomenal pitchers including Justin Verlander, Bob Gibson, Randy Johnson, Josh Beckett, Sandy Koufax, Mike Scott, Ed Walsh and his Giants teammate Tim Lincecum as the only pitchers to throw at least 9 shutout innings while striking out at least 10 and allowing no more than 1 walk in a playoff game.
Apparently drinking multiple beers at a time is nothing new for Bumgarner:
