Sister Mary Jo gets bobblehead after viral first pitch

Sister Mary Jo

Sister Mary Jo Sobieck is getting her own bobblehead in honor of her awesome first pitch that went viral.

Sister Mary Jo threw out the first pitch prior to Saturday’s Chicago White Sox home game against the Kansas City Royals. She looked like a total pro while doing it. First she bounced the ball off the inside of her arm, and then she fired in a perfect strike.

That was one of the most impressive first pitches we’ve seen in a while. And now she’s getting a bobblehead for it.

The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame has created a bobblehead doll of Sister Mary Jo, which is available for $25 on a presale price. Sister Mary Jo is a nun at Marian Catholic High School, and the school will receive $5 for every doll that is sold.

You probably won’t be surprised to learn that Sister Mary Jo played softball and volleyball when she was in college. She’s now surpassing Sister Jean in popularity in the sports world.
