Watch: 14-year-old girl dunks during Jr NBA game
Take note of the name Ashlyn Watkins right now, because she’s one to keep your eye on.
Watkins is a 14-year-old heading into 9th grade, and she can already dunk. She proved that by doing so in a game at the Jr. NBA World Championships on Wednesday.
While starring in her South Carolina 76ers’ win over Empire, Watkins threw down a dunk:

Watkins scored 11 points with 17 rebounds and five blocks in the 50-30 win over the Northeast representative in pool play. She’s had a double-double in every one of her team’s games.
The wild thing is that dunking isn’t completely new for Watkins. In her roster profile, Watkins states that her favorite basketball memory was “Dunking in 5th grade!”
Four years ago we saw one young girl take over the athletic world during the summer. Will Watkins be the next?
