Philadelphia sports fans are going to love what Ben Simmons had to say about the city.
Simmons, who is entering his third season with the 76ers, described Philly as the “perfect city” for him, according to HoopsHype’s Alex Kennedy.
Ben Simmons on Philadelphia: "It's like a smaller New York. It has a very homey feel to me. It's like the perfect city for me – not too big, not too much going on. You can always find something going on [but it's not overwhelming]. I mean, I love living there. It's a great city."

Simmons, the No. 1 pick in the 2016 draft, is only 22 and showed last season just how good he can be. He averaged 15.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, 8.2 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.9 blocks per game. He shot an impressive 54.5 percent from the field. He showed he could do it all.
Between Simmons, Joel Embiid, Dario Saric, and potentially Markelle Fultz, the Sixers have one of the most promising young cores in the league. They are definitely hoping Simmons’ professed enjoyment of the city will translate to a long-term contract extension down the road.
