We should probably use a different word than “defeated” when describing what the Dallas Mavericks did to the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday night. The Mavs beat the Sixers so badly that two fans were spotted reading the newspaper during the game.
Final score: 123-70.
The Mavericks set franchise records for largest margin of victory (53), largest lead at the end of the first quarter (28) and largest lead at the end of the first half (44).
That’s enough to bore even the home team’s fans.
