The Los Angeles Lakers made Crotian center Ivica Zubac the happiest player on draft day.
Zubac, whom the team selected with the No. 32 overall pick in the draft, is as big of a Lakers fan as you could imagine.
Zubac could not be more excited – he’s been a HUGE Lakers fan for his entire life, told me he cried like a baby when Kobe scored 60.

Zubac says he got up at 4 a.m. to watch Kobe’s final game. He also says he became a Lakers fan because some of the guys he looked up to were Kobe fans, and he became one too.
Though Zubac, 19, won’t be able to play with his idol, at least he can aspire to one day put on the purple and gold for real.
